Seat Reservation

  • Welcome!

Chabad will be offering multiple in-person high holiday service options adhering all CDC guidelines for maximum safety and precaution. This includes socially-distant seating and wearing of masks at all times.

In addition to the regular services that will take place inside a beautiful large room at the new Chabad center - 615 W. Wellington Ave. we will also have space outdoors. Chabad will also be offering 15 minute Shofar blowing services on the 2nd day of Rosh Hashana, Sunday, September 20th, at 11 locations throughout the entire Lakeview (scroll below or click here to view the locations).

We also welcome anyone who wishes to come after services are over and no one is around to pray in a safe way (alone) in the Shul.

In keeping with Chabad’s welcoming policy, we’ve always provided ample seating for reserved and walk-in participants alike. Unfortunately, given the circumstances this year, all attendance must be by RESERVATION ONLY, as this is the only way we can follow the guidelines and keep each service socially distanced.

Obviously our primary concern is the health and safety of each and every one in the community, and we want to ensure that every family in our community has the opportunity to fulfill the mitzvah of the day, to hear the Shofar, this year in a setting that they feel comfortable. There is no need to sign up for the Shofar blowing services.

Whether your background in Jewish prayer and practice is extensive or limited, the services at Chabad will leave you feeling enriched, connected, uplifted and energized to start your New Year in the most meaningful way.

Many of the prayers are recited by the congregation in unison, specifically in English, so that everyone can participate. Hebrew/English prayer books are used throughout the service. The rabbi provides an English running commentary of explanatory and meaningful insights.

At Chabad no one is turned away due to lack of funds.

We prepared a 52 page beautiful High Holiday handbook. View it online and print by clicking here .

Location for high holidays 2020 will be at the new Chabad center - 615 W. Wellington Ave.
