For those who would like to join a outdoor service we will be providing shofar blowing's in multiple locations around Lakeview on the 2nd day of Rosh Hashanah.
(Jewish law prohibits blowing the Shofar on Shabbat)
The main outdoor service will take place at theTashlich service on the second day of Rosh Hashanah at boat-Park Payground (Roscoe & the Lake)
Rosh Hashanah - October 2-4:
Wednesday, October 2:
- Candle Lighting: 6:10 pm
- Evening Service: 6:30 pm
- Community dinner: 7:00 pm (RSVP required at JewishLakeview.com/RHDinner ).
Thursday, October 3 (Day 1):
- Shachris (morning) Service: 9:00 am - 12:30 pm
- Kids Program (including Puppet Show) + Service: 9:30 am -12:30 pm
- Kiddush Lunch Approx 12:30 pm
- "Shofar in the street" around Lakeview: 1:30 pm - 6:15 pm (see schedule here)
- Mincha Service 4:50 pm at boat Park Playground near the Lake (Tashlich location)
- Tashlich service & Shofar blowing at Boat Park Playground by Roscoe near the lake: 5:15 pm
- Mariv (evening) Service: 7:09 pm
- Candle Lighting after 7:09 pm (from pre excising flame)
Friday, October 4 (Day 2):
- Shachris (morning): 9:00 am - 12:45 pm (Shofar at 11:30)
- Kids program & service: 9:30 am - 12:45 pm

- Mincha: 1:15 pm
- Candle Lighting: 6:06 pm (from pre excising flame)
